Prestatyn RNLI Branch

The Prestatyn Branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution is one of volunteer public relations and fund raising support. Since its formation in 1989, it has raised over £22,000 from collections, parties, raffles and other activities.

Prestatyn Branch is one of 1,700 groups throughout the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland which provide much needed funds to run the RNLI's 224 Lifeboat Stations and their volunteer Lifeboat crews. These brave volunteers launched 6,904 times in 2001, saved over 770 lives, and helped some 6,000 others who were not in immediate danger. Some of these rescues were carried out in horrendous conditions.

RNLIThere are two lifeboat stations within several miles of Prestatyn:

  • Rhyl Lifeboat Station
  • Flint Lifeboat Station
  • The Prestatyn Branch meets 4 or 5 times a year. Have you got a few hours to spare a year to help? If you would like to know more, please e-mail Belinda Davies, or telephone Rhiannon Wyn Hughes on 856946.

We look forward to hearing from you, welcoming you aboard, and helping us to push the boat out.
