The Role of the Association

Prestatyn & District Business Association constantly talks to Prestatyn Town Council, Denbighshire County Council, Wales Tourist Board, ELWa and other statutory bodies which can affect our business lives.

Aims & Objectives

• To improve the amenities in Prestatyn & District and provide facilities for disabled people.
• To encourage new enterprise and businesses into the town and surrounding areas.
• To provide more information and facilities for tourists and visitors.
• To actively support liaison with local schools.
• To promote security to eradicate crime from the town.

• P&DBA Annual Dinner - Thursday 24th February 2005 7.00pm for 7.30pm at the NOVA (JUST REFURBISHED). Prestatyn High will entertain at 9.00pm. Local Business Achievement Awards to follow. Be there or be square! Price = £18.50
• A new Prestatyn Business Directory will be completed soon.
• Established Classic Car Show, Youth Arts Festival, Carnival and Flower Show continue to be a great success.
• Jazz Festival and French Market are new ventures during the last two years and have added to a fantastic range of quality annual events for the town.
• Denbighshire County Council agree to Compulsory Purchase Order to allow Tesco development at the bottom of the High Street. The new development is still awaited.
• Over 70,000 hits on our website.
• Membership is now due for those who would like to join the Business Association. New members are very welcome on the Board. Get up to 4 free months of membership by joining before 1st April 2005 and pay only for only 12 months up to 31st March 2006.

Prestatyn and District Business Association have worked extremely hard over the years to help generate more business in the town, support local events and create working partnerships with both public and private bodies.

Denbighshire County Council have assisted us with the DAPPER Project (Denbigh And Prestatyn Project encouraging Economic Regeneration) and this has proved extremely beneficial to Prestatyn area.

We have always had ideas and ambitions for the town but due to the constraints of running businesses it is sometimes difficult to implement them. We have been delighted to have benefited greatly from a Town Business Manager which DAPPER has brought and many of our ideas have now been implemented.
