It took place in the centre of our picturesque seaside town, with events and stalls spilling out into the surrounding streets and squares. We were treated to a bright sunny and warm day, which
brought the crowds out in their thousands, enjoying the show and supporting many of the local shops and cafés.
Among the many classic and vintage machines there
appeared some rare exotics, such as the 1939 SS100
manufactured by the Swallow Swift Motor Company (which
was to be renamed Jaguar after the Second World War). Also there was a
1924 Golfers Sports Buick, one of only 68 manufactured
for export and believed to be the only survivor.
For the first time this year there was a new class for
American Classics which proved very popular with the
visitors and added a large transatlantic presence to
the show.
